So she slept through the night but flopped around her crib like a flounder. Every little noise woke Steve and I both up. I looked over and saw her sitting up in the crib so I told her good morning. She looked at me and started whining as if she was saying " no, no, I was hoping it was only a dream." She did that to me yesterday too. Of course Steve and I felt that way too- only in the don't wake me if I'm dreaming kind of way. We headed back to the registration office today and I was nervous she would become hysterical. The Lord took care of that bc she fell asleep right before we drove up to the building. She did wake up however we were already in the building and she was fine. We received our official adoption papers giving her over to us completely. Thank you Lord for trusting us enough to give her what she needs on this side of heaven. God is so good. We came back to the hotel and she took a two hour nap. We ventured out to Walmart for some shoes. The shoes she had on were too small and the ones we brought were too big. She enjoyed walmart and loved her new shoes. She wouldn't even let us put her old ones back on until we paid for the new ones. After Walmart, we ate at Pizza Hut. She had her first pizza-I'm assuming. She hasn't eaten a whole lot but I'm sure she will eventually. Now she is standing at the door of the bathroom waiting for Steve to finish his shower. She has been standing there the entire time. There's more to say but I'm too tired for now. She is amazing.

ReplyDeleteYay!!! So great!
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable! I love how she waited by the door for Steve. You know, I think its because she is craving the attention of a male! I bet there weren't any male care takers at the orphanage. Who says children don't need a father??!!
